Christmas decorations and lights
“A study from 2014 found that 13 percent of seasonal holiday products sold at major retailers like Walmart and CVS contained lead levels that exceeded a threshold deemed safe for children’s toys.”
Wrapping paper
“There are an increasingly large number of chemicals being used to treat the paper, to color the paper, to make the paper more elaborate and sometimes that can include the use of heavy metals.” Heavy metals are classified as human carcinogens. Opt for eco-friendly wrapping paper.
Candles
Many of the wonderful smelling Christmas candles (and other candles) contain paraffin wax and when burned, release highly toxic chemicals that are inhaled and absorbed through the skin. These chemicals are known carcinogens. A safer option is soy based candles as soy wax is non toxic.

It’s important that we are aware of the toxins that surround us everyday. These toxins create stress on our brain and nervous system as our bodies attempt to adapt to these stressors.

Chiropractic adjustments have been shown in research to help the brain and nervous system allow your body to adapt to these stressors therefore decreasing your risk of disease.
Watch out for those holiday toxins and be sure to get adjusted regularly.
